Read the Mimi Abramovitz article, Everyone Is Still on Welfare, and the Gabriel Zucman Wealth Detective article from Bloomberg News and discuss how you believe policy and policymakers affect the equality of the distribution of income, wealth, and opportunity. Be specific. State your assertion on how you believe they affect the equality and support your viewpoint with specific examples from the two readings. Read the two Matthew Desmond articles and discuss how you feel his writing adds insight on the role of housing policy in creating and perpetuating poverty, inequality, racism, and classism AND the role of racism and classism in creating and perpetuating housing policy in the United States. Be specific.
