Write a 500 – 600 word formal essay evaluating the speaker and presentation, with special attention to ethos, logos, pathos, and mythos. The Paper and Speech Planner document is the format for the essay, with clearly defined Introduction, Body, and Conclusion. In the Body of your essay, make sure you include an analysis as to whether the TED TALK was effective and appropriate for the audience and occasion.
Your submission will be graded on the basis of both content and presentation. Content is the breadth and depth of your analysis, and presentation includes grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation. Make sure you proofread or have someone else proofread your essay before submission, to catch and correct errors.
This assignment is worth a maximum of 100 points, and must be submitted no later than Oct. 4, 2020. If you submit your essay by Sept. 27, an additional 20 points extra credit will be added to your grade.
